EDDIE MATHINE - MÚSICA NEW AGE - CON LOS EXITOS DE LOS BEATLES - VOLUME 1 (2000) REPOST

In this post I present an instrumental tribute in the New Age style. It is the album "Música New Age - Para Sientirse Bien - Con Los Exitos de Los Beatles - Volume 1", performed by the Argentine Eddie Mathine. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything about this artist on the internet.

This album was released in Brazil in 2000, by the Inter CD Records label and distributed by Eldorado Fonográfica. In my opinion, as a Beatles fan, it is worth listening to their songs from a New Age perspective. It was cool.

The songs that make up the selection are the following:

01. Eleanor rigby;
02. You won't see me;
03. Norwegian wood;
04. Something;
05. With a little help of my friend;
06. Hey Jude;
07. Let it be;
08. A hard day's night;
09. Help;
10. All my loving.

LAFAYETTE - OS GRANDES SUCESSOS DOS BEATLES (2022)

The musician and keyboardist Lafayette was born in March 1943 and died in March 2021. At the age of five he began his musical training at the National Conservatory of Music in Rio de Janeiro.

With the emergence of rock and roll, he joined the group “The Blue Jeans Rockers”, which was responsible for the first instrumental rock recorded in Brazil. Along with him in the song Here is the blue jeans rockers were the future Luizinho e Seus Dinamites, Luizinho (electric guitar) and Euclides (guitar).

Lafayette's keyboards contributed decisively to building the sound identity of the Jovem Guarda movement in Brazil. His presence is unmistakable in several classic songs by the movement's main idols, since his debut in the song Terror dos Namorados, from Erasmo Carlos' first album, released in May 1965.

He also plays the organ in the song Quero que tudo pro inferno, recorded by Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos, which marked the genre forever. A kind of 'trademark' of the Jovem Guarda.

Despite this, the keyboardist does not have due recognition, given the extent, quality and influence of his work, especially during the period of the Jovem Guarda movement.

He recorded numerous albums, with emphasis on the series called “Lafayette Presents His Successes”. This series reached dozens of issues in its heyday, from the late 1960s to 1970s.

Most of his albums remain unreleased, in digital format on Compact Disc-Cd, with only a few timid official compilations re-released, one of which only features hits and classics by singer Roberto Carlos. What was popular in the recent past has become cult in modern times.

In this post I pay tribute to Lafayette by presenting a compilation of Beatles greatest hits, organized by the blog LaPlayaMusic, never officially released.

The following is the list of songs that are part of the compilation of the post:

01.  Yesterday;
02.  Michelle;
03.  All my loving;
04.  You won’t see me;
05.  Day tripper;
06.  My sweet lord (George Harrison solo recording);
07.  Another day (Paul McCartney solo recording);
08. Mrs. Vandelbit(Paul McCartney solo recording)

RUBBER SOUL - RECOVERED - VARIOUS ARTISTS (2010)

In this post, I present an anthological album of the Beatles' discography, but in a reread version (covers). It is the album "Rubber Soul", which is on the list of 200 definitive albums in the Rock and Roll of Fame.

"Rubber Soul" was the sixth album released by the group. It was recorded in just over a month and released in December 1965, being produced by George Martin. It is cited by many music critics as the record on which the Beatles became the most eclectic and musically evolved.

At that time, after softening the primitive strength of rock, with the explosion of folk rock and surf music, each group started to use all the potential that the recording studios of the time could offer.

The Beatles themselves overcame their teenage phase, going through the jokes placed in movies, by Richard Lester, to the deep poetic universe that they began to develop with the album "Rubber Soul".

In this work, they made real ruptures, such as the surrealist lyrics and the use of 'sitar', a musical instrument of Indian origin, in the Norwegian wood song, the lyricism of In my life and Michele and the poignant loneliness of Nowhere man. The album was considered the most innovative in rock until then.

A curiosity is that this album was released for the first time simultaneously in England and the United States, but with a difference of two tracks from one version to another.

The songs that make up this album have received thousands of reinterpretations from different artists and styles. The album in this post features a consistent reinterpretation of reputable artists.

Below is the list of songs and their respective performers that make up the post rereading album:

01-Drive My Car (Humble Pie);
02-Norwegian Wood (Tangerine Dream);
03-You Won't See Me (Anne Murray);
04-Nowhere Man (Randy Travis);
05-Les Garçons Sont Fous-Think For Yourself (François Fabrice);
06-The Word (Mindy Smith);
07-Michelle (King Curtis);
08-What Goes On (Charles River Valley Boys);
09-Girl (The Brothers Four);
10-I'm Looking Through You (Steve Earle);
11-In My Life (Johnny Cash);
12-Wait (Connie Evingson);
13-If I Needed Someone (Roger McGuinn);
14-Run For Your Life (Nancy Sinatra);
15-We Can Work It Out (Dionne Warwick);
16-Day tripper (Whitesnake).

ED MACIEL - OS GRANDES SUCESSOS DOS BEATLES (2021)

Last weekend, listening to a compilation by Brazilian musician Ed Maciel, I noticed that he performed several Beatles songs over seven albums. Based on this, I decided to put together a compilation of these songs.

Ed Maciel was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on January 21, 1927 and died on August 4, 2011. His best moment in his career occurred precisely in the years 1966 and 1967, when he released the albums of the series “Na Onda ”, on the Odeon record label, which had a dancing rhythm, interpreted radio hit songs and appealed to lovers of instrumental music.

He came from a family of musicians or, more accurately, trombonists. His father and at least two of his brothers continued playing the trombone and his brother Edson, the youngest, participated in recordings of their albums.

With an erudite background, upon arriving in Rio de Janeiro, he became a conductor, arranger, orchestra leader and was the first trombonist of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro.

Practically, he played with almost all the great names of Música Popular Brasileira. The selection of songs that make up this compilation contains the following songs:

01. Day tripper;
02. A taste of honey;
03. I feel fine;
04. Yesterday;
