FRANCK POURCEL - MEETS THE BEATLES - 1970

Countless orchestras have already paid tribute to the Beatles and normally these exclusive recordings are well accepted by the market, generating good sales. As orchestras I can name some of them, such as Franck Pourcel, Percy Faith, Paul Mauriat, Ray Conniff, Enough Light, Frank Chakesfield, Don Costa, The Hollydrige Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Symphonic Orchestra, James Last, 101 Strings, Ronnie Aldrich, among others,

In addition to these orchestras that released albums containing only Beatles songs, there are also those with occasional recordings of one song or another, within some released work.

However, of the ones I know, I emphasize the tribute performed by the Franck Pourcel orchestra. Of the pop orchestras that sailed in the 1970s and 1980s, Franck Pourcel's arrangements were magnificent and for the time they were innovative. The balance of the strings and other instruments is remarkable.

Thus, we re-presented the album posted on this blog on 19 / August / 2011, which was released in Brazil in 1970 and later in 1983, by the EMI / Odeon label. Here in Brazil that record was volume 11 of the series of records by Franck Pourcel released in the country. One of the differences of this release in relation to the first one in France, in 1969, refers to the alteration of the cover and the order of the songs.

In this posted version, in addition to the 12 original songs released in France, we include 8 more bonus songs. Of these bonuses, there are songs extracted from the version released in the United Kingdom and songs composed after the Beatles' closure, by any of the members of the group.

The songs that make up the album "Meets The Beatles" and bonuses added by the LaPlayaMusic blog are as follows:

01. Let it be;
02. Help;
03. I me mine;
04. Penny Lane;
05. Michele;
06. Here, there an everywhere;
07. Eleanor Rigby;
08. Hey Jude;
09. Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da;
10. Don't let me down;
11. Girl;
12. Yesterday;

Bônus:
13. The long And Winding Road;
14. Oh! Darling;
15. Imagine;
16. Goodbye;
17. My Sweet lord;
18. Mull of Kintyre;
19. Live and let die;
20. My love.
