MATT MONRO - OS GRANDES SUCESSOS DOS BEATLES (2021)

In this post, I present an unofficial compilation of five Beatles songs, which were performed by English singer Matt Monro.

His real name was Terrence Edward Parson. He was born in London on December 1, 1930 and died in February 1985. He became internationally known for performing one of the songs in the James Bond film 007-From Russia With Love.

With a style recognized in the wake of singers such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet and Andy Williams, Monro had his main hits during the 1960s, mainly in Great Britain. In addition to the 007 theme song, Monro's other big hit was the song Walk away.

Matt Monro began his musical career in the 1950s, singing in television advertisements and with some British orchestras (such as the Cyril Stapleton Orchestra). After a few recordings, he signed to Decca Records to record an album of standards, entitled "Blue And Sentimental" (1957).

In 1965, he was the first singer to perform a Beatles song, Yesterday. He later left for the United States performing at nightclubs and recording sporadically during the 1970s.

In 1980, his album "Heartbreakers" put him back on the music scene, but his health began to deteriorate, due to cancer, and he died five years later.

The compilation of this post features five Beatles songs, listed below:

01. All my loving;
02. Here, There And Everywhere;
03. Yesterday;
04. Michelle;
05. Isn't a Pity.
