The Beatles phenomenon impacted young people in many parts of the world. In Brazil, it was no different. In these parts, it boosted the Jovem Guarda movement, which many called the Iê-Iê-Iê wave, influencing several artists.
In this post, I present a compilation released in 1997 by the now-defunct record label RGE, produced by Marcelo Fróes. It contains versions and reinterpretations of some Beatles songs, performed by artists exclusive to this record label. I highlight the version by singer Claudia, which was never recorded by the Beatles.
From this list, Marcelo Froés states that Prini Lorez was one of the first artists to record a Beatles song in Brazil, in 1964.
